Approaches to learning:

The Diploma Programme (DP) curriculum is made up of six subject groups and the DP core, comprising theory of knowledge (TOK), creativity, activity, service (CAS), and the extended essay.

Through the Diploma Programme (DP) core, students reflect on the nature of knowledge, complete independent research, and undertake a project that often involves community service.

Creativity, activity, service (CAS) is one of the three essential elements of the IBDP, involving students in a range of activities alongside their academic studies. While CAS is not formally assessed, students reflect on their CAS experiences as part of the program and provide evidence of achieving the seven learning outcomes for CAS.

TOK Is a Critical Thinking class that “plays a special role in the International Baccalaureate® (IB) Diploma Programme (DP), by providing an opportunity for students to reflect on the nature of knowledge, and on how we know what we claim to know.”

The Extended Essay (EE) offers the opportunity for IB students to investigate a topic of special interest and conduct independent research finishing with a 4,000-word academic research paper.

Students select an area of research from Diploma Programme subjects and become acquainted with the independent research and writing skills expected at university.
